Overview
The Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) course is an intensive, hands-on program designed to enhance skills in joint mobilization, manual therapy, and pain management. This comprehensive training includes 45 hours of tutor-led instruction and 55 hours of recommended reading through supplied course books, providing participants with a deep foundation in musculoskeletal (MSK) assessments, therapeutic techniques, and patient-centered treatment planning.
Participants will gain skills in advanced MSK assessment, manual therapy techniques, physiological mobilizations, and clinical application strategies for real-world practice.
Eligibility : The Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) course is designed for healthcare professionals with a foundational understanding of anatomy and musculoskeletal systems, including:

David Jenkins, owner of Sports Therapy Scotland (STS), is a highly experienced sports therapist specializing in injury treatment, rehabilitation, and MSK care. With nearly two decades in the field, he integrates advanced techniques like manual therapy, dry needling, and Scotland’s only Liquid CO2 Cryotherapy. An SQA assessor and educator, David provides specialized training across the UK and internationally. His experience spans high-profile productions like Outlander and professional teams, including Raith Rovers FC and Braehead Clan.
David holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy from the University of Teesside, complemented by an array of certifications that enhance his professional qualifications. These include:
